St Xaiver’s hss, Mapusa eased their way to victory in the district Inter-zonal Chess U-19 play-offs, organized by DSYA at Peddem complex, Mapusa on Tuesday. SS Samity hss, Ponda took second place while Dempo School of arts and science settled for third place.
Earlier St Xaiver’s hss had won the Zone 1 Bardez title ahead of DMS Kushe hss, Assagao to qualify for the Inter zonal playoffs.
